William Richards is a retired police officer who hosted an L3 conversation in order to share with us a law enforcement perspective of national and local events. It’s a sensitive subject, for sure, and he was very clear to state that he was not trying to convince anyone of anything – he was just sharing his personal perspective. We definitely appreciate his taking the time to discuss personal stories with us, and also some personal feelings on various subject matters. As you listen, please try to remember that these conversations are often one person’s opinion, and they are taking the time to try to explain their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs with those of us who may not have any direct experience with these subjects.
Our schedule got a little shaken up, but we are going to try to meet the first Sunday of every month (when applicable) at Nashville Social Club in Carson City, usually in the sun room (sometimes in The Swan Music Hall), so there is music in the background. Also, we meet around a table and share food while we hold our conversations, so you may hear sounds of plates, glasses, or cutlery in the background. I’ve done my best to remove them, but hopefully the subject matter will have you so riveted, you’ll soon no longer notice all that other stuff.
Thank you for taking the time to listen, and perhaps learn how to be a better ally to the law enforcement community. If you’re local, please feel free to join us. There is no cost, and no age restriction.
